Yahoo Shows more back link than google.

Thats true about yahoo. It does show good backlinks in comparison of google.

Yes, yahoo shows all your BL, but Google will only show the relevant BL only

You have only few backlinks in Google because it doesn't display all. Better to use Google Webmaster Tool.

That is just the way it is unfortunately but it should not be a cause for too much concern. I always check my backlinks in yahoo to get a clear picture.

this is because yahoo shows all links in Yahoo Site Explorer, amean ALL the links - the do-follow and no-follow as well.

Google only shows some links . I personally believe that are random picks from your backlinks.

Yahoo Site Explorer (YSE) does not show ALL of the links.

You are only allowed to see 1000 of them, and they tend to be the same ones every time....so when you have 5,500 links like I have --- only 20% of the links are being shown.

I also belong to Google Webmaster Tools (GWT). Its a free service provided by Google, and overlaps with Google Analytics. I don't use PPC or Ad-words, so I only use GWT for my Analytics, and it works great.

Currently, Google is displaying 1,376 External Links (what Google calls backlinks). You can see all of them by logging into your GWT account.

Right now, Google shows 376 more links to me than Yahoo.

The google External Link count fluctuates radically from month to month.

I had peaked at nearly 2,000 Externals at GWT back in Sept 2008, now its dropped to the current number as of Feb 2009.


Yahoo has been showing a steady climb in the total link numbers (between 4,835 and 5,550) but only 1000 links are shown......PERIOD.

Hey buddy, I am not agree with you. Google is all time favorite. I dont think so it provide you less backlinks than yahoo. Check it again after few days, because Google has started ranking nowadays.
