Is yahoo better than google?

i don't think so.

I love yahoo mail but in search google is the best

i am a big yahoo fan,

but google has better search - yahoo is better with everything else.

Bing is also very good search engine

yes they both have different criteria for this..depending on algo n all..but yeah google's service is far better than yahoo..so it's easy on yahoo, i suppose, to get higher rank..but not on google..

Well in my opinion both have their pro and cons. If Google is best than yahoo is also good. More people use Google, but if you improve ranking on Yahoo, you can get more visitors who use Yahoo. Yahoo does have their own rules, similar to Google. They also have their own version of quality score, it's just not as apparent as Google.

Google counts only quality backlinks pointing to the web page whereas Yahoo takes everything. This is reason that some websites do far better in Yahoo relatively than in Google.

I find most of my sites rank better in Google. I got it down to a tee, 24 hrs or less to get my sites indexed in Google. Where Yahoo can take 3-7 days, it does vary so much.

About the fact that it's more used than google, than yes, we can say that it's better than google, but, if we are thinking at what google is offering us than I strongly believe that google is better than yahoo...
