How to upload a site ?

If you create website thn you need to buy a domain and server space. After that they provide you ftp user name and password.
use filezilla software upload the coded files using ftp on server.

I use filezilla, coreftp . You must have a domain, a username, and a password to upload your website.

I know I have seen several references and a general understanding that you can use your own FTP server that hosts, or whatever you call it. My only concern is that I do not know if my ISP provides a server fast enough to host my site.

You can upload your website using either an FTP or the web based file manager your web host offers.

The way I suggest all our clients to upload is to zip all the file and upload to the public_html folder and unzip with cPanel web manager.

You can use Filezilla to upload the files.

Talk to your host, see if cpanel is installed, if it is use the file manager there. Otherwise use a ftp-client, like core ftp or similar.
