just boot your computer and go to its setup.. make sure that the cd is inserted.. you will find an option there just choose to install linux.. you will be having two operating system that every time you boot your computer, you will be asking which operating system you want to use.. that's it..

I read your post and as per that its not a big problem if you have space but the main thing is that if you have not sufficient processor or RAM then you have to face a problem from it and as per options a virtual software is available which is VMRAR and from that you are able to run both server virtually so its really good to use.... Just boot the ubuntu, it will install automatically, and set up your computer to have both OSes.
