Hostgator's 25 process limit

Hello, I was wondering if having a 25 process limit is normal for hostgator? Because I added a new forum to my site and now it shuts down randomly and when I contact support they say that I have a script that is using too many processes and it shuts it down automatically. I have never had this problem with my dedicated servers in the past. So I am not sure if it is really the script or if they just have an extremely low process limit as a "catch" to all of their unlimited bandwidth/storage sales package.
