Designing my homepage from scratch

Okay so I decided to design my homepage (webicy.com) from scratch and I would like to get your inputs / feedbacks on the same.

First, I have started with the layout so I've made a simple layout and accordingly I'll be making changes to the design and adding new things.

Below is how the layout would look:

I'll be updating this thread with the progress of my work.

Hope to hear from you guys what you think.

Thanks.. but I don't think I go ahead with this layout. I have some other plans for the homepage.
