1. Directory Submission : There are hundreds of free directories available in on the internet where you can submit your website to get inbound links.

2. Article Submission: Article submission is one of the best ways of getting inbound links. You can submit articles to websites and free article websites to get inbound links.

3. Bog Comments: Commenting on other blogs and putting your website URL is also one of the ways to get inbound links.

4. Free Blog creation: Three are hundreds of free blog websites where you can create free blog and put content there and then get links to your website.

Forum submission: There are many forums where you can start the thread and also answer to other with putting your website links there.

Free blogs means may be Blogspot or Wordpress blogs, we can easily create blogs with the use of blogspot add fresh and unique contents, give your website link and promote it through high PR social bookmarking sites..

High PR social sites usually add the rel="nofollow" which Google doesn't index.

I personally think guest posting (where they do mostly give do follow link) is a much better option than than article submission.
