could anybody tell me how to place a banner in a website

If the free hosting allows you to edit the html or the files on your site all you need to do is add the ad code to the html page where you want to ad to appear.

If you can give the site and page you want it on and where on the page, anyone here can show you where to place the code.

Not all builders are the same. Mine is not the same as the one post above me and probably not the same as any below either.
