    Default Advice sought in designing a website....?

    Could anyone recommend a software package that has fairly simple templates and which is easy and quick to learn. I've done some HTML but would like to build a better website. There seem to be 100s on ebay that are really cheap to buy and plenty of freeware packages.....any recommendations from you guys out there ?
