Drupal - It's pretty easy that I have never even used a tutorial. I have sent people I have set sites up for to (darn - can't post a link (15 post minimum???)) as a starter and just googling 'drupal tutorial' gives allot of hits.

The link is on the designer-info com website - pretty good tutorial.

You can play around with pre made templates, but those might be harder to do if you plan to get into changing any of the images. Most I know start out with w WYSIWYG editor and go from there (a good book doesn't hurt either).

    I agree.

If you do a google search you can find some very good tutorials. there are tutorials normally on the website for the cms, etc on how to set up and use them.

If you want specialist personalised help there are companies/individuals you could hire for support while setting up your website.

If you need any further help or feedback just post back here.

I started to learn to build web sites for free nearly 2 years ago and really enjoy it now. There are loads of tutorials available and plenty of easy ways to get hosting and a sub-domain that you can play with then when you are ready register your own and use one of the numerous free hosting packages available.

I have a couple of suggestions that might help you get going faster. Sign up as an affiliate on a site which provides web space, a template or multiple templates with html access that you can play around with and test what changes make a difference. A mistake doesn't matter that much since you can just start again with a new free site using the same design or you keep backups and just put it back as it was before you made the change.

I can help you for free if you are interested in taking this same approach that I used (above).

Just click on one of the dating sites on my sig and sign up as an affiliate using the link at the bottom of the page. You might even make some money as you learn, like I did and am still doing.

If you're going to use Wordpress, and want to post ads on it, you'll need to download it and host it with a hosting company. WP won't allow you to post ads when you have a free account that is hosted directly on WP. I learned that after making my blog.
