Default Upgrading ram for my computer?

Hi i want to upgrade the ram on my desktop, at the moment i have Infineon 512MB running at 333 MHz (PC2700u).

The question i want to ask is that can i get ram of 1GB with a speed of 400MHz and put it in my computer, so my computer will have the existing 512MB(333MHz) ram stick and the new 1GB(400MHz) aswell, so i should have 1.5GB of memory combined.

    Is this possible?

    my motherboard is: ASUS P4SD-LA

You can set up default RAM speed in BIOS, but you need to check if your computer supports 400Mhz RAM.
