How do I find the correct computer hardware drivers??
I have recently have had to wipe my hard drive clean and reinstall windows XP. Now the problem I have is that I need to install drivers to make the ethernet controller work so that I can access the internet. No reinstallation Cd, and the desktop model is a IBM Netvista. What kind of Netvista I don't know. Not even sure where to really look. Can anyone offer some assistance?
My advice is to use google search engine to find the suitable website for downloading the drivers
The model is on a sticker on the back. If the sticker is illegible run this http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php, it will tell you what components you have. Now all you have to do is to search at http://www.ibm.com/support/us/en/ for what you need.

Device driver programs to increase the functionality of the device. The software, make the hardware work. With all other programs or software, device driver requires a compatible platform or operating system, they will be used. Device driver for MAC will certainly not run on a PC.

There is a program called Driver Detective or something, First find out the names of your cards and then find them in the internet.

google is the best way to find out your system driver.... and also there is a software call driver checker..... use this for finding driver...

If you can not find the right people manually I would recommend just getting a software that can do it for you. There is a software I use which may come across people for just about all elements cool gadgets. The best piece is it needs images of your software characteristics and matches the right cars to go with it.
