When I first downloaded FIrefox, I was happy at how the place where you type the web address could also double up as a quick search engine. Just type in a phrase, click "enter," and you'd come up with Google searches.
Recently I downloaded the new Windows Live Messenger, and with that the search engine turned from Google to Bing. I don't like Bing. Is there a way to turn it back?
you click on tools go to options and then change the home page url as google and then click ok.
open iGoogle.com and click Make it my Default Search Engine. otherwise you can install Google toolbar or any google service. they will ask you to change your default search engine to Google. otherwise there are many javascripts available you can run and change your default search engine.
just go to tools>add-ons
remove the live messenger by clicking uninstall, then restart your firefox browser.
Its simple, just go to firefox Edit menu and go to preference, there you will find home page link to up. There you just put google link.
Well..
first of type "about:config" (without quote) then press enter,
Firefox will show warning then submit ok...
now find "browser.search.defaultenginename" in search box.
Double click that entry (or right click and choose “Modify”) and then type in the name of the search engine you wish to have as the default search engine
From tools options, you can change the home page URL of firefox.
