First check if the hardware is working okay; if the drive is bad then you have a major issue. Also check if the HDD has 'downgraded' to PIO mode instead of UDMA. A HDD will run very slowly in PIO mode. Google for "UDMA PIO" since I am not allowed to post links.
If the hardware is okay, then a disk cleanup followed by a defrag (especially if there are fragmented system files) will help to cut down on boot-up times.
Otherwise wait for something like this:
Goto Youtube and search for "Boot Optimization" and see the Hyperboot test.
it's very nice utility, it's a pity that it's only for computer manufacturers at this time, and not available to the general public.![]()
