Well see external is more better and cheaper but internal you need to pay the repairing guy also because he would take your laptop or pc with him and then fit it then give you back so choose that way

Internal vs. external hard drives
I'm planning on buying a new hard drive to use as a backup drive. What are the pros and cons of internal and external drives (assume price is not an issue)
the current quote i have taken is from this site which is selling WD drives

External is portable, internal is not but it is faster.

If it is used for backup purposes only, I would recommend to use DVD-RW drive. It is more economic.

i would suggest not to get WD drives...try to get Seagate instead.
the pros of an external hard drive: portability
the cons: it is much prone with virus attacks since it's being connected to different computers just like a usb flash drive

I think you should go for external hard driver, its more easy in use then internal hard drive.

External hard drive is better than internal as you can move it easily.
