Grey hat SEO falls inbetween white hat seo and black hat seo. It is best to follow white hat method to maintain a better position. Using grey hat may give you temporary better results but it may make your site to get penalized.

I do not know much about Grey Hat method or White hat method. But I have read it from different online resources that it can produce immediate results but can cause permanent banned by the search engines. I use only white hat methods for my sites and this is hard to do. It can be good for longer run.

When it comes to SEO, the gray areas abound. However, in my point of view – as well as many others, I believe – gray hat SEO leans towards black hat more than white hat. This is because gray hat SEO simply employs techniques that are quite akin to spamming but not quite labeled by Google (and other authorities in the field) as black hat – as of yet.

Practicing gray hat SEO is much like trying to fly below the radar, trying not to get the attention of those who are in the lookout. However, the fact that you feel that you need to fly under the radar means that you are engaging in illegitimate activities or, at the very least, activities bordering on the illegitimate.

Gray Hat SEO is fine as long as its being done properly. I guess it all depends on your needs. White Hat has long term results yet time consuming; blackhat is fast and easy but results are not good enough to last for at least 6 months...

I do not use this gray hat SEO. I'm sticking to the safe way of building links. The Natural way - WHITE Hat.
