Internal links refer to the links that link to the internal pages of your website from the homepage. Nofollow implies that the link will not be crawled by search engines.

In this post I’m going to break down EVERYTHING you need to know about nofollow links.
    What they are.
    Why they’re important.
And whether or not they help with SEO.
    Let’s dive right in.
    What Are Nofollow Links?

Nofollow links are links with a rel=”nofollow” HTML tag applied to them. The nofollow tag tells search engines to ignore that link. Because nofollow links do not pass PageRank they likely don’t impact search engine rankings.

A no follow link is a link that does not count as a point in the page's favor, does not boost PageRank, and doesn't help a page's placement in the SERPs.

Nofollowed links are links with a rel=“nofollow” tag. These hyperlinks do now not impact the search engine scores of the destination URL due to the fact Google does now not switch PageRank or anchor text throughout them.

It's usually a waste of time to use nofollow attribute on internal links because links don't flow pagerank anymore causing them to drop out of the link graph.
