social bookmarking will help you gain traffic and some few backlinks, you just have to make you title more catchy and clickable, also blog comment. take nnote always make you site or page fresh. and for the PR read this article this will help you a lot.

If you wanted to improve your page rank the easiest and most effective way is to update you blog in a daily basis. Then for traffic generation, for me social networking and bookmarking is the best.

most people depends always on PR... It it better to have a huge traffic rather than PR.. focus first on Traffic, link building will do help you. don't rely on PR.. gaining more traffic will instantly give you a PR trust me...

Hi,
Link building is not a simple task so you have to do hard work if you want to promote your site well.
As above members say that directory submission, article submission and forums posting is easy way to promote your site but if you will do all work manually then you can understand easily that these work are also not so easy.
Prepare yourself first to work for your site then start link building work because by easy way you can get hardly PR1 and traffics would be very less.
