It all depends upon the url which you are targeting.

This keyword have Results 1 - 10 of about 278,000 for in 0.21 seconds

In first place there is housetohome.co.uk/ with PR 3 and huge backlinks at google 871

In tenth place there is thehousedirectory.com/ with PR 4 and less backlinks at google 49.

So yeah you can get into 10th place with this keyword Interior Decoration Home Furnishing uk but for that even 10 days is very less. Yeah one month will be genuine time.

Even if you probably can't get it done in such a short amount of time, it doesn't mean you shouldn't try! If it hits the front page within a month that wouldn't be too bad. It's hard to compete against higher PR pages though so hopefully the site you're targeting already has some PR.

Well, it depends on the url and the techniques your using to get more traffic. Forum posting is good start in getting back links.Also try social bookmarking and blog commenting.Just be persistent surely you'll rank not only the top ten..^_^

10 days is enough if you already have social sites profiles (digg, reddit, oyax, and etc.) that you could submit your bookmarks with these keywords are your anchor text..

You should do blog commenting that is do-follow and related to your blog or niche then, use your keyword as the name...
