Domain change and preserving old domain equity
I am changing my business name and domain name for my business. I am planning on just forwarding the old domain to the new domain.
Is that about all I can do? Are there any other tactics I can implement to preserve pagerank and/or inbound links for the old domain?
Any advice would be appreciated.

If you are also changing page names or the structure of your site, your should consider:
- keeping both domains active indefinitely
- creating 301 redirects for all your important old pages to corresponding new pages
- review your server logs and indexed pages in Google and other SEs to see whether your old pages disappearing in favor of your new pages
