    Default Forum's NO FOLLOW

Search engines have begun offering website developers the option to designate certain links as “no-follow.”

If you find a forum that has this option enabled, what it means is that you can post as many links as you want in all of your posts and the search engines will never notice. Then, this will negatively affect your search engine rankings and traffic generation. What you need to do to avoid this trap is learn the difference between “do-follow” links and “no-follow” links.

Most of the dofollow forums / blogs turn to nofollow coz of lot of link spamming activity and also because of the google penalty they might have to bear.

The search engines are changing the way they handle business and I would not be so sure that no follow wont carry some kind of weight in the long run. What do you think?

Why would it have negative effect on the search rankings?? A nofollow link won't be considered as a backlink. That doesn't mean it will be penalized. So, your search engine rankings will remain the same.
