Proper targeting of keywords
Relevancy of the backlinks

I think these three factors will increase your site's traffic which may lead to a higher CONVERSION.

from my point of view, these are three important points.

1) keyword relevancy to content
2) keyword density to content
3) regularly updated content

there are several other factors, like backlinks, article submission, directory submission, etc. however, if you are perfect with the content keyword then it is pretty easy to manage these things.

1. On site
2. Off site.

The following contribute for the on-site factors:

• Description
• Keywords
• Site Content

Whereas for the off-site factors the following can be considered:

• Inbound links (who links to you)
• Outbound links (to whom you link)

1) Title tag that matches the content on the page
2) Sufficient quality content to do well with long-tail search phrases
2) Inbound links from high quality, relevant pages with relevant and varied anchor text
