One way links

Let me say that directory submissions are worthless they are no longer relevant for SE specially for google, social bookmarking and blog postings are really good methods but do not spam blogs otherwise all your efforts will be destroyed once they start deleting your comments

I like to order this as follows;
1. Aritcle submission
2. forums
3. social bookmarks
4. Directry submission
5.RSS Submission etc.

Hi, to add up, another good way is to use 3-way links.. it's a good link juice producer too..

i beleave bookmarking and forums too are the best.. at least that's what got me best results

I think quality content for your site and Directory Submission and Article Submission are useful methods for getting one way links to your site.

Mate you will have to use all these options to get the backlinks. You cant avoid any one. But the base line is you will have to submit at quality place. Remember one thing quality is much important than quantity.

hey....actually speaking all the points that you have mentioned help in the building of links...the tougher part of your question ie. which one is the most effective....well in my personal opinion, there is no certain manner in which you can get links....in other words, all the above mentioned points as directory submissions, article submissions, social bookmarking, forum postings etc are a few ways of getting links. A judicious mix of all can get you relevant links.

i again emphasize the fact that the main criteria is to obtain quality links, its the end and not the means to the end that matters:-)

Yes agreed. Both methods are keyword oriented. And would bring targeted traffic.
