Being Number 1 in SERP
I think being your site listed in top 1 ranking has many disadvantages. One of them is your site is prone to duplicate content since more people could copy your site's content. There will be also some competitors who will try to use your site's techniques just to let you down..
But I think the advantages of being number one in serp over weighs its disadvantages. So I still want to get the highest ranking in serp and accept the risk. That's a business and has great challenges to face...
I will still aim to make my site be in top one ranking, because I know that a site may get the highest chances or percentage to be clicked and visited by potential customers. This is because most visitors prefer to visit those sites that are listed in the highest position in serp.
So what's your opinion about this.. Kindly share your views and ideas...

Many of the search engine spiders upgraded for tracing duplicate content and it will not reflect on your rankings now. Being #1 on SERP drives too much traffic if your keywords are competitive.

Seems to me that you do not want to get popular because there is chances of being kidnapped, murdered, torture or something like that.
If you are famous than these kind of things come with packages and you have to accept both.
If you are smart enough than your duplicate contain wont beat you because every time you will come with new ideas and strategy.

If you think that this one have disadvantage than stop promoting your website which are in your signatures. Stop link building and give your signature place to me free of cost.

Being no 1 is a great achievement! but if you run a business and can't convert visitors into paying customers there's little benefit and also visitors would visit a page that has what they are really looking for.

If you think someone copied your site, report that site to Google. If that site is an affiliate site selling products, you can report it directly to the affiliated company. These people are talking advantage of other people's hard work. They should pay for it.

Even you copy the technique , it not easy to let #1 , I have one accomplish for one competitive keyword, it is about 4 years already always listed in #1
