No one likes a blog spammer and ultimately it will hurt you rather then help you. What you need to do is find blog posts that relate somewhat to the site you are running.

Then leave a helpful or interesting comment to theirs posts in a way that you can incorporate your website url without looking like you are just posting to spam.
