Yes,I think you should try to do best internal linking first.Then look at your website inner pages content.Try to post some original and unique articles.Create a sitemap for your website and then submit it in Google.

Start with a Sitemap, it will make it easier fro Google to index your site's pages and of course you need to do internal linking because your homepage has the biggest weight and you have to transfer it to other pages.
