I've heard that Article Submission is the way to go for SEO stuff... What is the best way to go about the whole process?

Best to have a service write the articles for you and submit them?

or to write them yourself and have them submit?

or to do it all yourself?

Normally, I do it myself for my sites, Daily I dedicate about 3 hours for this, do some research and write something and make sure that is unique and fresh, then submit to good article directories.

If you have no time, you can hire guys to write articles & submit them for you. I am sure you can get hire people for these via freelancer.com,elance and etc.

Hiring professional article writing is better option.The writer should know article writing for SEO. i.e how to maintain keyword density in that article and other things.

Yeah. Really quality articles are the right way to get quality traffic on seo. Do post your articles on high PR article directories.

Directories like ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com are a good place to start. Do your research on your keywords. Optimize your articles for those keywords but don't have them used more than 2% of the time, or most directories will reject them.

To get the hang of it you should write a couple 800 word or so articles (quality) and mass submit them to all the article directories starting with ezinearticles. Once you understand the value of this, then you can outsource it if your cashflow justifies it.
