Google index within one day
Hi Friends,
This is what I've experienced with my own website. I’ve registered the domains two days before. Bought the hosting before a day. And did these things. Within one day my site was indexed on Google without a spending a single penny.
The things I've done with the domain name
1. Made a post (you may make either a post or add some content).
2. pingomatic, feedping, autopinger submissions
3. A tweet with url (don’t shorten your url and tweet)
4. Submissions on Reddit, Amplify and Clipmarks.
5. Searched for the url with quotes On google, yahoo, and alexa a few times.
6. Made a comment on a blog with good PR and traffic.
That's all. After sometimes I could see my domain on Google. Note that it was not on yahoo or bing. It may take 3 or 4 days I think.

Really a good work...
I also heard that submitting popular social bookmarking sites like Digg, Technorati helps in indexing..
And also Search engine sitemap helps in indexing all of your inner pages too.

Yes, these steps were definitely help to get indexed in search engines quickly. You can add social bookmarking in Digg and technorati in those steps as suggested by the other number.

Yup nowadays you can quickly get index with social networking sites. If you have a good twitter profile just tweet your URL and your site has been indexed within an hour..
