    Default Backlink from other Country bad for SEO

    If i have let's say a french site with french language and i build a lot of backlinks from English speaking sites..will this affect my french site in a bad way or will it still help to improve the rankings?

    Thematic links have value. IMHO, theme is more important not the language.

    What is more important in building link is link quality and its relevancy, no link hurts except from link farm

    I don't think any decent backlinks would hurt your sites. More backlinks would benefit your sites in SERP and PR more.

    I guess in today's internet world, the country difference has been greatly blurred!

    So there is no such thing as Backlink from other Country bad for SEO!

    As long as they are quality backlink, then everything will be great, it will work for your SEO!
