benefits in social bookmarking is traffic and yes it will give backlinks but no much.. doing a social bookmarking right will give you a pale of traffic.. and google will index your site faster just make sure you will place it on the proper category.

here are some tips that i can give you:

1 Write Catchy Titles - write a title that will stand out from the crowd and grab their attention.
2 Use Keyword In your Title - it may use as anchor text for backlinks.
3 Rotate Your Title - Rotate your title Slowly for sure Se's will like it.
4 Think Global/ Make it Flexble - means don't concentrate only on 1 category and don't focus on one country based site. ( you know what i mean )
5 Use Descriptive Content
