I have had a look at both and find features of IPB better thank vbulletin. Will like to know more opinions from other members before I make an investment.

Well there is a lots of better forum CMS out there. If you want to choose between those 2 I think you should go for vB
Most of famous forum use vB but why follow other... you can use free cms like MyBB is good too ^^
vbulletin is very best forum and also very hard securities
From my experience, benefits of VB are mainly:
Stable Price
Professional attitude
A very good collection of plugins/addons (vbulletin.org)
I think it depends on what you will be using it for and what you want to get out of the software.
vBulletin I have used on many sites as a user and I must say that it is good but so is phpBB especially once modified correctly.
Depends on what you want to do. What sort of site is this for?

VB is still best but VB version 3 was better.
Most of the forums that I am on are all vbulletin. I have seen IPB boards too but I like the way VB works.
