Default Looking for a picture management system

I'm looking for a picture management system. Features required are ...

    - User login
-- User enters his/her name, address, age, height, weight, etc.

    - Picture upload

    - Administration control panel
-- Administrator can change all information and he/she can also approve pictures uploaded; if they are approved, then they show up on the website.

    - Maybe, picture editing tool also. Simple tool.

This is a rather generic picture management system, so I'm pretty sure that there is something like this out there. Does anyone know this type of picture management system? Ideally, I want a free (open source) one.

Thanks for the info. I briefly took a look, and this looks ... very good. I'm pretty confident that everything I want to do can be done using coppermine, but I want to ask the following questions in case you already know answers.

q1. The top category needs to be created from the member list. More specifically, I want the entrance page to show pictures of members. And from there, you can see pictures of each member. Can this be done very easily?

q2. I need to create a pretty extensive member profile page that has entries like ...

    Last name
    First name
    Age
    Height
    Weight
    etc., etc., etc.

Can this be done very easily?

Also there are other stable online picture management applications like ...

    Zenith Picture Gallery
    GaliX² PHP Gallery
    SPGM (Simple Picture Gallery Manager)
    SPiD
    xGalleryx
    Gallery
    Coppermine Photo Gallery
    Tikiwiki

Anyone familiar with any of these applications?

Answer one: in copper mine, you can grant permission to members to create there own album, so if your users wish to upload their personal pictures to there own album, but keep in mind that for every member that registers an album is not created, but as soon as you give the global permission in the configuration, the system is just one click away for any user that wishes to create a personal album, as far showing each person's own picture as the entrance image, I haven't tried it, (what happens in coppermine, the last image you upload is the entrance image, so it changes every time you upload something)

answer 2; well if you want to create an extensive member profile, you can do two things, if you are planning to bridge it with any fourms then use the default profile or you can use the same old MKportal and use there profile feature (which is not defaultly installed, but they have the mod)

These are, only if you can't find a pluggin for coppermine, that does the same

I was looking into this last night and found a mod (kind of).

In your opinion, how should I approach? Should I use this mod or MKportal(?)?

what ever fits your needs if profile is the only thing you need then go for the pluggin.

But, if you need additional things like, news/announcements, site status, shoutbox and stuff like that... MKP

keep in mind, that MKportal should have some kind of fourm to work, then you can turn off the fourm, and cut the links .. ( I haven't tried that yet) then use the user registration feature for coppermine, try it all in backstage before releasing the site... or you can just install the pluggin you found, without doing much complicated stuff.. and editing MKP code, if you are good at php you would have no problem,
