I needed a good database in the background for a web application that works well with a large amount of data. I am trying out a project with two college friends and they are a lot better in programming these stuff than me. The most important thing is fast access speeds for the application, as data needs to be updated and loaded quickly. For this I plan to use the NoSQL database Redis. Has anyone ever worked with Redis? Because I read that Redis is an in-memory database, i.e. Redis works like a cache and stores the data not on disk but in memory. I would like to manage and monitor Redis via an open source DBaaS provider like Aiven for Redis. But I have never worked with a DBaaS before and wanted to ask if anyone has experience with embedding Redis in such a cloud based provider?

I would be happy if someone could help me a little bit or give me clues.

Thanks in advance
