ebay and paying with paypal?

i am new to paypal and just had a couple questions.

i signed up for paypal, and confirmed my bank (the whole entering the amount they put in/took out from my bank account) and my address and all that.

then i bought a couple things off of ebay, paying with paypal.

when paying with paypal on ebay, after i sign in to confirm i want to pay for the item i bought, does paypal automatically take the funds out from my bank account?

both amounts for the items i bought have been posted on my bank statement. but i read somewhere you need to put funds into your paypal account to pay for the items. is that true? or have my items been payed for since my account has deducted both prices of the items i bought?

no one left feedback saying i payed, so i wasn't sure.

I am an ebayer as well. When you pay with pay-pal the funds are direvtly taken from your account, then transfered to the sellers account. The only time you need to deposit money to your pay-pal account is when you want to make money transfers or stuff like that. If you are just buying on ebay, you wont have to worry about that.

If you put in your bank account, Paypal will take the funds automatically from your bank account and pay to the seller. You will see the moment you login the Paypal activities and that you have paid the sellers

Leaving feedback, however, is a different matter. Some sellers leave feedback as payment is received while others leave feedback after the buyer left them feedback. Some do not leave feedback at all

If you see the amount has been taken out from your bank account, then that means Paypal has already taken money from your bank account and paid it to the seller.
