PPC is basically where advertisers design a text link/banner advertisment and have it published on other referring sites that are using that companies ads. For example, if you advertise on Google AdWords, everytime some clicks an ad that gives you 1 visitor to your site, you pay them for. However, the good thing about Google AdWords is that the ad will be displayed in your specified niche.

Also, if you want to become a publisher and earn some money. I would suggest you should use Google Adsense first off but if this does not work (as there is a huge payout sum) you could easily go to an easier ads company. One ads company I use that is a very good alternative to Adsense is Chitika which gives great revenue and highly targeted ads!

PPC stands for Pay Per Click. Its a good term for online advertisers who pay some amount every time where someone comes on their website and clicks their ad, throuh their website.
