basicly Pay per click is used on search engines and advertising networks where adversisers ( buisnesses, services etc) get to put there advertisment (banner, website link) on the host for free and only pay them when there advertisment is clicked on by the visiting public. for example google ad words when you search for somthing on google (example, Website) you will see a banner which is pay per click in action.

Sites that pay you if you got clicks on your ads. Pay per sale, means if someone buy any product from you. Pay per leads same as pay per sale. Hope this will help you.

I don't know much about PPC but I have tried PTC which was totally scam I think...none of them paid me after completing their requirements

Well I think its the system of advertising where the advertiser pays the network a certain cost if their ad is clicked. The ads are placed on different publisher sites in the network
