Google is without doubt the premier and definitely the most important commercially.

You can try other search engines like:
DMOZ,Ask,Alta Vista,Bing
you can try alltheweb and dogpile also.

Its a good list.But i think Google is alone is equivalent to all these.I love Google.

I accept with information:However they should be treated as an alternative of Google but nit as its substitute.

Great and huge list. But Google always comes first. Here you have listed a lot of other good search engines. I think these search engines can be used with Google as an alternative.
