    Former workers at the web giant Google have launched a rival search engine.

    Called Cuil, from the Gaelic for knowledge and hazel, its founders claim it does a better and more comprehensive job of indexing information online. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7528503.stm


    cuil.com i dont really like it, i dont get may results for my searches though i like the layout of it.

    Yes. The layout looks good but the search results that you get is nothing compared to what you get in google. If they work on the indexing and search algo they might be a strong competitor for google.

    Thanks for the info. The search engine design looks good but like you guys said, the search results are not good enough.

    Yeah they might need sometime to set the search results like in Google..CUil has indexed 120 billion pages so far.."Twiceler is the name of their robot Web crawler. The user-agent is “twiceler." and some web crawlers are already masquerading as twiceler...as compared to other SE cuil does not collect user data..such as cookies and indentifiable ip's...

    i have tried to search in this search engine (claims to be) but i found it absolutely worthless in comparison to Google. Google is unrivaled in its own way. You can try it but you must keep aside professionalism while searching.
