According to my opinion if you want to get good PR then you should have to submit your side in high or good page rank site.It is more beneficial for you.

If you want to get rank in SE and to improve PR,you should work on update content on regular basis and try to create high PR do follow backlinks.Focus on quality link building work,it ll help you to get rank as well as high PR.

You will still get credit if it’s not, but if it’s related to your website than you will be accomplishing two tasks at once. You will be advertising for your website (bringing in targeted traffic) You will also be building your websites presence.

Try to be active on social networking websites like forum posting, blog commenting, Twitter, etc. Try to write articles and press releases as fresh content makes your website readable. Also, you may do social bookmarking and classifieds. But before doing any link building, check your website if it's well optimized or not because it's useless to build links if it's not user and search engine friendly.

I would just say that don't concentrate on the Page rank just maintain the quality for your site and if will automatically improve PR of your site.

PR is a link analysis algorithm. Basically, you can increase your PR from links. Links with high PR can be a great help to increase your site's PR. However, having a good PR doesn't already mean that you can also have a good rankings.

Do social bookmarking, article and press release as much as u can, i am sure you will get higher in the search engine results...
