Gates says Windows 7 may arrive next year
Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates on Friday indicated that Windows 7, the next major version of Windows, could come within the next year, far ahead of the development schedule previously indicated by the software maker.
In response to a question about Windows Vista, Gates, speaking before the Inter-American Development Bank here, said: "Sometime in the next year or so we will have a new version." Referring to Windows 7, the code name for the next full release of Windows client software, Gates said: "I'm super-enthused about what it will do in lots of ways."

Blooody hell.
You think Microsoft could learn and fix the one they have currently before releasing a new os.
If Microsoft actually ends up releasing it next year that will be a surprise as they generally release it long after it was needed, e.g. win xp.
Does that mean Vista is coming to be more like WIN ME to a lesser extent that wasn't out long before being quickly overseeded by 2000??
Maybe it is the time to switch....to linux.

Is it different with Vista? What the different is coming out. If easy to use rather than Windows Vista i will comfort earlier. If not i am felling better using windows XP.

I hope they don't release it very soon as to show that they have a new OS. Because Windows Vista has a lot of bugs/errors that they should fix and it needs a lot of improvements. I thought buying vista will have a big advantage in Windows XP, but it's not. Windows XP is the best OS that they have made...

Windows 7 is a massive improvement over windows vista and fixes all issues and more.
The RC is now out so why not check it out for yourself??
