Are you running windows vista? if so, try this.
Right-click on the zune shortcut. Go to properties > Compatability
Check the box that says "run in compatibility mode for" and choose XP with Service Pack 2.

Microsoft Zune has encountered a problem an must shutdown...... I get this
everytime I start my software. help Program worked for about 3 weeks then all I get is this. Have reinstalled program and reset the Zune. I have even removed all songs from the software but It still shutsdown before I can connect the Zune.
Also running xp.....sorry
