Default Will there come a time when military technology simply cannot lose...

...against less developed armies? I know currently that military technology found in the Western World (jet planes, satellites, missles etc.) are already so far in advance of poorer countries that the only way they can even put up a small resistance during a war, is by buying weapons off other, more developed, countries.

I.e. We may be making progress in Iraq, and they have no real chance of competing with Jet fighters and tanks for long, but they still are able to slow down the process with their AK47's and Rocket Launchers etc. and still manage to kill numbers of our troops.

Will there ever come a time when our military technology is just so far in advance, (maybe because of heavy and expensive computerised involvement), that affordable guns and missles don't work against it, and most countries simply could not afford to buy anything comparable to it?

Once we developed the nuclear bomb, it was all over for other countries.

I don't think so, nations will always have enough time and money to catch up

Technology is no substitute for will and ingenuity. Throughout history nations that have had the technological edge have been brought to their knees by dedicated and smart enemies.

For your example about Iraq. They don't need jet fighters to slow them down or stop them. Jets need fuel, they need a place to land, and they need many other supplies. Interrupting any of these would hamper our us of that technology. Tanks are vulnerable to terrain, they are also vulnerable if without fuel or supplies (not unlike jets). If the enemy were to find a way to keep our tanks fighting in less than ideal terrain and disrupt supply efforts, they would have a chance at neutralizing the threat of our tanks.

To put it simply, someone who is committed to their cause and is enabled to do something about it, is always a threat. Even in the era of tactical nukes.

No, because no matter how much technology improves there will be ways to beat it. For example what if terrorists had explosives surgically implanted inside them? Or found a way to spread TB or the bird flu?
