Mostly Vista get sold has mainly by the preinstalled into the systems. There were very rare chances to purchase Vista from the stores. It was really a big failure of Microsoft and later on they accepted the fact. But Windows 7 is getting highly popular over days and now the Beta editions of Windows 8 are available. According to some testers, it is very light on the systems and it can be easily run on a system having Atom processor with 1 GB RAM.
