Not really surprised here- no politician is going to say that they think copyrights are invalid, or not worth defending.
Say what you want about the MPAA, RIAA, etc, but digital copyrights help out the "little guys" the most. Without digital copyright laws, it would be incredibly hard to make money selling software, ebooks, independent DVDs and audio books, etc.
