Forum post exchange refers to you posting on someone's site/board and they will post on yours.

    A definition of it:
Forum Post Exchange works to meet a common goal. That first goal is to help grow your forum in a natural way. Exchanging posts with other forum owners allows for checks and balances, if you post poorly to a forum you can expect to receive poor posts on your forum. On the other hand if you contribute useful information you can expect to receive the same.

    Was taken from http://www.forumpostexchange.com/ .

So the main goal is to post quality posts with who you exchange with so they do the same back. If they don't then you just find someone else to partner with.

True but finding the right person can sometimes be a pain. I have yet to do it but I have read some horror stories (like pulling threads from 3+ months back into the open, over 50 at a time).

    Cool Re: Forum Post Exchange

I also really do not understand "forum links exchange"...
If you want to promote your website using forum posting, why not to do it yourself? For what do you need forum links exchange?

I think it depends on your negotiations.
