Theorically yes, but in reality, no!!!

With a galaxyof websites avaiable, without backlinks, the chance that your site has been found is just slim!

All are good tips but I have little doubt about yahoo answers as they are really helpful for building backlinks.

Right, yahoo answer might not benefit your PR, but it would drive some traffics.
