i have some of my portal websites included in some of those big Quality directories like Yahoo dir, Joeant, BOTW, Incrawler, Goguides and few more, but i am not able to get into DMOZ yet

I'll go with the tips of Jenie. I know that it is still better that way. Having a hard work gives a challenging way of success. It would be a pleasure for me to give my best in link building patience is good way.
