What is your link exchange strategy?

What useful instructions would you recommend to follow when performing link exchange procedure for a website? Personally I would like to do link exchange with topic related websites only and pay the special attention to website page rank! Also, I put different key phrases which exist at my website into external and internal link text! Also, I use different tittles and descriptions for each website I do link exchange for. [/FONT]

Analysis about site status, site PR, Traffic and last when site was been crawled by Google. These are main important steps for link exchange.

Start building links to your site and eventually you'll see your pages get indexed in google. Also remember to add content to your site regularly.

Link page should be linked from home page, Indexed Link Page, Containing Relevant Links on Link page, links should not more than 50 on link page, Link page not Two Clicks Away from home page.

See the number of outbound links at the links page because inbound links from too many outbound link page have less importance.
