According to me, Gateway page is a form of Black Hat( unethical methods of SEO) SEO technique (i.e) - creating a page to spam the index of a search engine during the crawling process. The keyword used by a users will direct them to a totally different page than the one indexed. It has several other names like doorway page, bridge page, jumping page etc
