I think all of us, Internet marketers know by now that if you want to rank high in the search engines, then it's imperative that you get a lot of back links. Getting the back links really isn't that difficult. The sky's the limit as far as the different kind of back links you can get to your site. Effective backlinks needs to be created for my site in order to improve its reputation. These strategies could be used in the production of the powerful backlinks. I also agree that .edu domain and other high pr link but they should be dofollow. But i think links on relevant sites also help boosting your sites.

You just need to create pyramid i mean just to categorise the backlinks like having some of the backlinks from the lower PR websites, Middle Standard websites then TLD backlinks are the most important ones. .com , .edu and .gov TLD domains.
